The president Cornhusker Insurance connected with me due to an idea of adding a superhero-themed mascot to the company brand. We both collaborated on what this mascot would be named, what his powers would be, and what his super-suit would look like. With much brainstorming, Captain Cornhusker was born. Along with his trusty sidekick, Hazard the hound, they do their best to guard the people of Lincoln from threats to auto, home, business, and life.

Once we established our hero, I developed a 4-page coloring book that included comic-style illustration to demonstrate Cornhusker Insurance’s protection plans. The company eventually put on a contest for kids to color their books, send in their pictures, and earn a chance to win an Amazon fire tablet.
